YEP - It's COLD!!!! Check out the windchill. We have loads of snow too. You would think that a place that has winter for a good 5 months of the year would have a snowplow - NOPE! We are pretty much stranded up here which is ok because it's way too cold to be out for long periods of time anyways. |

| Back to School
Well, we have both started teaching again and are LOVING it. Although our schedules are busy we are enjoying our students very much and seem to be on top of time management too (we'll see how long that lasts). It's a gloomy Saturday here - not a great day for laundry to dry but oh well it had to be done. What's happened in the past few weeks?
we've gotten hooked on some new shows
made some new friends
got some new students
eaten mexican
gotten a cold
Yep, life isn't too exciting here right now. All the University students are back now so things will be picking up soon. We really do love it here. |

| HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!
I really wish I could capture on tape what we are experiencing here but it is basically only noise. People everywhere are letting off firecrackers. Little boys have been playing with them for the past few days and now all their relatives are joining in on all the fun. With the sound of firecrackers comes the sound of car alarms too. Chinese New Year is celebrated with family. They normally join together for food and games. Our thoughts are with the many who can be 'lights' to their families during this time.
My first year in China 2 friends and I took a little journey south and were able to see a little bit of a new years parade. I thought I would leave you with those pictures since the excitement here is only for our ears. ENJOY.
